Purchase stand-alone software
We changed this page on July 3, 2015. If you previously purchased a PIN, you do not need to run the tests
and can skip to Step 3.
Step 1. Before paying for on-line calculations, please test to determine if our calculations will run on your computer.
You must have cookies enabled in your browser to perform the test and to use the calculations after you have paid for them.
If you are using calculations that have a red plus (+) next to them on our home page:
Enter the password "test" below (lowercase without the quotes) then return to this page (Registration page). If the words "Not registered user" change to "All features enabled" and the "Click to Calculate" button works and adds the two numbers, then the calculations will fully run on your computer after entering a purchased PIN number.
If you need to use calculations that have a red minus (–) next to them on our home page:
Please run our Java applet test to determine if our Java applet calculations will run on your computer.
Step 2. After testing, be sure to delete the test cookie from your computer by clicking the "Delete Cookie" button below.
If you don't, our home page will say "Welcome Registered User" (since it says that for any cookie set by our server), but none of the calculations will work except the test calculation. You won't be able to enter a purchased PIN until the test cookie is deleted. The test cookie will automatically be deleted after a day.
Step 3. Purchase PIN number for on-line calculations
To activate the Calculate buttons on the entire LMNO Engineering website (all calculations),
you may register by securely paying using PayPal by clicking on the credit card image.
After paying, a PIN number will be sent to your email address (usually within 1 minute). Then type the PIN into our home page.
We provide the following subscriptions for on-line calculations:
7 days for 1 to 5 computers. $40 (US Dollars).
90 days for 1 to 5 computers. $90 (US Dollars).
1 year for 1 to 5 computers. $200 (US Dollars).
30 days for up to 30 computers. $120 (US Dollars).
To purchase, select the subscription that you would like from the drop-down menu. You
do not need to type any comments in the text field unless you would like to. Then, click
on the credit card image:
We also accept credit card orders over the phone. Call (740) 592-1890 or email (LMNO@LMNOeng.com) for additional website time limits
and computer licenses, such as for a class or large company.
We want happy customers! If you are not completely satisfied with the quality and
accessibility of our website, let us know within 30 days of your purchase and we will
refund your payment. More information about our subscription service can be found below in
the How our on-line calculations system works section.
purchasing (stand-alone calculations) To top of page
If you wish to purchase "stand-alone" software rather than running the
calculations from our website, some of the calculations on our website can be purchased
and run on a computer that is not connected to the Internet. Please contact us before
your purchase so that we can confirm that we offer the program that you would like as a
stand-alone. The program will run in your web browser but an Internet connection is not
required. The cost is $150 (US Dollars) for each of the password-protected programs
[the ones without the red dot on our home page] and $50
(US Dollars) for each of the non password-protected programs [the ones with the
red dot on our home page]. As soon as we receive payment,
we will send the program to you as an email attachment, typically within 24 hours. Please
read the Conditions of Use.
Before purchasing a stand-alone calculation, please download our test stand-alone calculation
to make sure that it will run on your computer. All of our stand-alone calculations are written in the Java language.
If the test stand-alone will not run, then
a purchased stand-alone calculation will not run. As a test, please right-click on the following
file Addition.zip and save it to a folder on your hard disk:
Test stand-alone calculation - Addition.zip
Then go to the folder containing Addition.zip and right click Addition.zip. Select Extract All.
After the files (Addition.htm and Addition.class) are extracted from Addition.zip,
double click "Addition.htm" from the extracted files.
The Addition stand-alone calculation will run in your browser without requiring an internet connection.
The calculation will say "Stand-alone version" and you will be able to add two numbers
similar to the on-line version of the calculation at the top of this page.
To purchase one stand-alone calculation for $150 (USD), describe the stand-alone
calculation that you would like in the text field. Then click on the credit card image.

How our on-line calculations system works
Once you receive a calculations PIN, go to the LMNO Engineering home
page, http://www.LMNOeng.com, and type it in. A program will automatically check
if your PIN is valid. If the PIN is valid, then a cookie will
be saved to your computer. The cookie indicates how many computers can use your PIN
and the duration purchased. You will not have to re-type the PIN on future visits to our
website unless you use a different computer. If you routinely use different brands of web
browsers (e.g. Internet Explorer, Firefox, Chrome, Safari, etc) on the same computer, each
browser is recognized as a different computer; so try to avoid using different browsers
from the same computer unless you have excess licenses. Your access time (duration) is
determined based on the first date and time you type the PIN into our home page. Date
and time are determined by our server. For example, if you paid for 7 days of access and
type in the password on May 2, 2015, at 8:00 AM, then your PIN expires May 9, 2015, at
8:00 AM. It doesn't matter how many times you visit the website during those 7
days. If you type in the same PIN on a second computer on May 4, 2015, at 11:00 AM,
the expiration for the second computer will also be May 9, 2015, at 8:00 AM. If you go
back and forth between web pages, you may need to hit the Refresh button for "All
features enabled" to appear in some browsers.
All of our web pages and programs/calculations are copyrighted. This means that the

does not apply to the web page output (what you see on the screen). You may print out any

otherwise without limitation so long as you include our copyright notices - this allows,
for example, engineering consulting firms to include our web pages in their reports to
clients. Some web browsers do not print Java applets. If you have trouble
printing, please see our printing suggestions.
If you purchase stand-alone software from us, you are authorized to load
it on up to 50 computers and/or load it on an intranet. In no way are you authorized
to load the software on a publicly-accessible web server without the express permission of

are averse to accepting cookies, you can set your browser to accept cookies (click the
